Dairy

Why is Sabors d’Origen dairy a good choice?

Nutritionally…

Dairy products are an essential part of a balanced, complete diet, thanks to their wealth of nutrients vital for growth and daily wellbeing. They provide high-quality protein, essential for tissue repair, as well as calcium and phosphorus, key minerals for healthy bones and teeth. They are also a natural source of vitamin B12, riboflavin (B2) and vitamin D, nutrients that help the nervous and immune systems work properly.

A wide variety of products…

The dairy range includes a wide variety of products: milk and cream, which are the base for many preparations and provide balanced energy; cheeses, which combine flavour and nutritional density in a wide range of strengths and textures; and yoghurts and kefirs, which stand out for their live cultures that benefit gut flora and digestion.

Ideal for…

They can be used for everything from nutritious breakfasts to main courses, desserts and mild sauces. Choosing quality dairy means ensuring balance, flavour and wellbeing. These products add nutritional value while helping to maintain a varied, healthy diet that appeals to every palate. From the simplicity of a glass of milk to the complexity of a mature cheese, dairy remains a cornerstone of the modern diet and a safe, nutritious and versatile choice.

Cabrianes

Based in Cabrianes, our products are made exclusively with fresh milk from small family farms in the Bages, Berguedà and Osona regions, each with just a few cows that receive special care, because it is the quality of the milk that makes us unique. We also offer it in attractive packaging to make it easier to consume and distribute. Above all, what sets us apart is:

  • Promoting zero-kilometre sourcing
  • Creating healthy products
  • Working only with fresh milk

We are particularly committed to the environment, so we always work with our environmental footprint in mind.

Cal Músic Cheese Dairy

They make cow’s and goat’s milk cheeses. The cow’s milk is organic and comes from the Alt Urgell. For goat’s milk they used to work with a shepherd from Balsareny; they recently had to change and now keep the herd in Castelladral, but they also work with shepherds from Osona and the Moianès.

Their range is not very large. They make a cooked-curd goat’s cheese, soft cheeses from both cow’s and goat’s milk, and a Garrotxa-style farcell made from goat’s milk. They also make tupí, a traditional fermented cheese spread.

Every now and then, when they feel like it, they make a “great big” Músic de Cabra, a 10 to 12 kg cheese made in Swiss moulds and aged for at least a year. Only 5 or 6 a year.

Gavarresa Cheeses

Gavarresa Cheeses: artisan goat’s and cow’s milk cheeses

Today, the Gavarresa cheese dairy makes goat’s and cow’s milk cheeses.

For the goat’s cheeses, it collects the milk from Les Feixes, in the Moianès, and makes three types of cheese: Falçó, a young cheese; Bla el Comú; and an ash-coated cheese.

It also makes cow’s milk cheeses, Cavagó and Pell de Serp, with milk delivered once a week from the Alt Urgell: raw organic milk from Ecofranch’s Brown Swiss cows.
