SABORS D’ORIGEN is a project born in the Moianès with the aim of bringing the best organic and local products to our customers’ kitchens —institutions, shops and the food industry. Our mission is to promote responsible, healthy and sustainable consumption by making quality food available that respects both the land and the people who produce it.
We believe in and work for a local circular economy
Committed to the land and to our producers
The project arose from the need to support small and medium-sized local producers who, despite having an excellent product, often lacked the capacity or time to reach the end customer.
At Sabors d’Origen we build synergies with these producers, offering them a local trade platform, logistics support and advice to sell their products in a fair and sustainable way. We work together on decisions about pricing, distribution and promotion, building relationships of trust and mutual benefit.
We connect product quality with consumer responsibility
Since 2017 we have brought on board producers who meet strict quality, sustainability and social impact criteria. Our philosophy is to connect the richness of local products with consumer responsibility, encouraging mindful consumption and reducing food waste. Through initiatives such as baskets of products nearing their best-before date, we help recover food that is still good to eat and stop it going to waste.
Challenges ahead
Today, Sabors d’Origen offers a wide variety of certified organic products as well as other local and sustainable products. We are constantly working to expand the range in our catalogue, thanks to the diversity of our region and the trust of our customers.
At Sabors d’Origen we believe in responsible consumption, local sourcing and partnerships with local producers as the way to build a fairer, healthier and more sustainable food system.
